Job Interview Tips – Time, Cell Phones, And The Job At Stake

One of the most important job interview tips to be given is that of three very important things. The three important things to think about are your cell phone, your arrival time at the interview and the company that you are applying a job with.

First the cell phone. Many of those who go to an interview get excited and they have reason to be. If they bag the job, they can immediately call their loved ones and inform them of the good news. But if the cell phone is not put off or even put on vibration mode and goes off in the middle of the interview, the job is lost before the interview has even started. Make sure to put off the cell phone. Vibration mode is good but not good enough for it can still vibrate and distract you. If it vibrates in the middle of answering a question, you can lose track of what you were saying. Remember, it takes only one mistake and the job goes to the next person in line.

Second, the time factor. It is basic to remember that if the job interviews set for a certain time to always arrive at least 15 minutes before that specified time. It does not matter if you are made to wait, just make sure that you are already there before the appointed time. This shows the interviewers that you are serious about your applying for the job.

Third, know the company that you are applying for. These days, it is normal to apply for several companies in one day through the course of the weeks and months. It can be confusing, this is a fact and everyone knows this. But it is also important to gain the trust of the interviewers when you first get into that interview room. If they ask you why you are applying for their company and what difference you can give them, it is very important to state the facts and do them straight. Nothing is more embarrassing when you apply for the job and you say you will do good for the company, state the company name and manage to anger the interviewers when you state the competing company’s name. Get informed about the company you are applying to.
